Mimi and PopPop are on their way to Florida. They left home around 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept 29th and arrived in Mt. Airy, NC early afternoon. Today (Sept 30th), they are traveling to Savannah, GA, and will finish up the drive tomorrow morning, and plan on arriving at the Disney Boardwalk Villa's around 2:00 p.m.
When they get to the Boardwalk, they will check us into our 1-Bedroom villa. We were hoping our waitlist would come through, and that we could have a 2-bedroom for the entire stay - but it didn't come through, so we will have to cram in the 1-bedroom for one night. After check-in, they will do some grocery shopping and relax by the pool.
Jim will pick Jimmy up from school Oct 1st at 2:30, and drive Prim to the Cat Chalet. Then they will pick me up at work around 4:00 and we will head to the airport. We had a really great experience with "Long Term Parking" at EWR in June, so we thought we would give it a try again this trip. You really can't beat the cost, only about $9 per day, and they have a shuttle that takes you to/from the airport.
We are hoping we don't have a delay like we did in June....these later night flights are a risk.
Our flight leaves at 7:00 p.m. - JetBlue out of EWR, flight do to arrive in MCO at 9:50 p.m.
PopPop will pick us up at the airport.
October 2nd - we will check out of the 1-bedroom and have the bell hop hold our bags/groceries until the 2 bedroom is available.
The plan is to head over to Epcot for the day.

Oct 2: Epcot, pool break, unpack, Epcot Late Night Live party
Oct 3: Magic Kingdom (9-4), Lunch at Be Our Guest, afternoon pool break, Hoop Dee Do Review 8:30
Oct 4: Animal Kingdom (9-3), pool break, Magic Kingdom 7:30-2:00 a.m.
Oct 5: Disney's Hollywood Studios )9-3), Lunch @ Prime Time Café, Pool Break, back to DHS for Fantasmic, and Jim and I go to Epcot for an afterhours "wind down" at Rose & Crown at the UK pavilion.
Oct 6: Epcot (9-4), Wine Demo, Culinary Demo, pool break, Dinner at Steak & Shake and Downtown Disney
Oct 7: Magic Kingdom 9-3, Tony's for lunch, pool break, Epcot or MK in the evening
Oct 8: DHS 9-3, pool break, Epcot in the evening, mixology demo, dinner at Le Cellier
Oct 9: Epcot 9-3, pool break, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
Oct 10: Check out of Boardwalk, Check into Portofino at Universal, Do parks until 2:30. Pool break, dinner, Chris, Jim, Denise and Robin Halloween Horror Night!!!
Oct 11: Universal Studios and Island of Adventure
Oct 12: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure
Oct 13: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure - Flight home leave at 7:00 pm and arrives in EWR at 9:40. Mimi and PopPop begin their drive home.
So those are the basic plans....I'm sure we will switch things up a bit....stay tuned!
